Edward E. Lawler III is a world authority in human resources strategy and systems, and an authority on creating tomorrow’s organization.
Dr. Lawler holds a B.A. Brown University and received his doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley.
Dr. Lawler is the author and co-author of over 200 articles and 25 books. His most recent books include The Ultimate Advantage; Organizing for the Future; Creating High Performance Organizations From the Ground Up: Six Principles for Creating the New Logic Corporation; Tomorrow’s Organization Strategies for High Performance Organizations – The CEO Report; The Leadership Change Handbook Rewarding Excellenceand Corporate Boards: New Strategies for Adding Value at the Top.
Business Week named Ed Lawler one of the country’s leading management experts and Human Resource Executive Magazine named him one of the most influential people in the field of human resources.
Dr. Lawler is noted as a major contributor to theory, research and practice in the fields of human resources management, compensation, organizational development and organizational effectiveness. He held a Fulbright Fellowship at the London Graduate School of Business and is the recipient of a number of awards and honors including: Selected one of Top Ten Organization Development Experts; Phi Kappa Phi Faculty Recognition Award, University of Southern California; Associates Award for Excellence in Creativity in Research and Scholarship, University of Southern California; American Psychological Association Award for Career Research Excellence; American Society of Training Directors Award for Outstanding Achievement in Employee Involvement in the Workplace Irwin Award for Scholarly Contributions to Management, Academy of Management.
Lawler currently serves on the board of directors of the American Productivity and Quality Center and is a professor of management and organization at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. He is a founding director of USC’s Center for Effective Organizations and has been on the faculty at Yale University and University of Michigan.
Dr. Lawler specializes in corporate culture, HR strategy, compensation and organizational change and development.
